Caitlin Cynthia Stiver was born, nearly six years ago, with a severe congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).  After enduring a complicated surgery, Caitlin fought courageously for three weeks before being called Home to the Lord.  During this time, we were guided by our faith and by Caitlin’s strength, and we were blessed to be supported by our family and friends.  Likewise, we were blessed to have found the comfort provided by the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana (RMHI).  It is hard to articulate what the house meant to us – and to seemingly countless families – but what may seem like small things such as a home-cooked meal, a warm shower or a place nearby to rest, was a significant source of strength and comfort.

Caitlin's life, while brief, brought so many people together in faith, hope and love. We thank you for your generous support to help us sponsor a room in her memory. The cost for sponsoring a room is $4000, but will produce immeasurable value to the families benefiting from your generosity.  RMHI provides a home away from home for families with critically ill children, and fulfills a mission that we are proud to support.  On Caitlin’s birthday in January, we will celebrate as we do each year by serving dinner to families at RMHI – and we also hope to have raised the funds to christen her room!
